In 2025, we noticed that Fusion 9 Bar & Eatery in Carmel, IN was missing dozens of calls every week during peak hours. Staff were too busy serving tables to answer the phone. Orders were lost. Reservations weren't booked. Regulars who just wanted to check the menu moved on.

We tried putting up an automated voicemail message. Customers still hung up. We hired a part-time phone host. It helped, but it wasn't scalable — and the problem disappeared on slow nights, then came roaring back every weekend.

That frustration became the blueprint for SoundsAI. We asked: what if every restaurant had a tireless, knowledgeable voice receptionist available 24/7 — one that could answer menu questions, capture pickup orders, and book reservations without ever putting a caller on hold?

We built it. We tested it at Fusion 9. The results in the first week alone convinced us this was something every independent restaurant needed.
